Seriously delicious and nourishing pots of goodness – make ahead so your mornings are smooth too! The recipe is extremely flexible.. the base of mine is always the same.
1 tablespoon of chia seed soaked in 1/2 cup of dairy free milk or water
1 cup of frozen berries
1/2 an avocado
juice and rind of 1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon of MCT oil plus some easy supplements like clean organic protein powder, collagen and greens.
If you like things a little sweeter (and add more fibre/nutrients) add a teaspoon of organic mesquite powder
Then I open the fridge, use whatever you have.. today I added.. fermented foods – today was my coconut yoghurt and fermented bananas+Spinach+Peanut butter+Sweet potato mash (cooked and cooked to make a resistant starch+ herbs from the garden+ vanilla and cinnamon
Yes …. that’s a load of stuff! Remember we are looking for protein, fats and fibre to keep us satiated and nourished … as well as something to eat that’s deliciously satisfying! So double the batch and make extra jars, smoothie pots are the ultimate food prep star Grab out of the fridge when you are ready (they can sit in the fridge for up to a week) and top with some nuts and seeds and some beautiful fresh fruit
